Studio Policies
Students must sign in at the front desk for every class they take. This includes their enrolled and make-up classes. Please note that it is important for students to keep up with their attendance for accounting purposes.
Payment Policy
Refund Policy
No refunds. No exceptions.
Class Enrollment Policy
All students MUST first be evaluated during their first class before enrolling. The instructor and director will inform the parent/guardian and student of the appropriate class age/level via email. The student may continue to take their chosen class(es) upon registration, monthly tuition payment, and signing the waivers and contract.
Attendance Policy
Students must be on time for class. They may be dropped off 10 minutes before class starting time and should be picked up no later than 15 minutes after class. Students who arrive 15 minutes after the class starting time will not be able to take class and asked to take a make up class to avoid class disruption. Additionally, the first 15 minutes of class is for stretching and if the student misses the stretching portion, they are more prone to being injured in class. If the student has more than 4 absences for a particular class per season they will be dropped from the class to make more room for other students.
Enrollment/Schedule of Classes
We have two enrollment seasons- Spring/Summer (January-July) and Fall/Winter (August-December). The class schedule changes every season (2x/year). Students and their parents/guardians are responsible for enrolling in classes. Class schedule is subject to change for any reason without notice.
Class Make-up Policy
Make up classes are only offered to students currently enrolled.
Students may take make up classes in any class within their age range according to their current level.
Make-up classes are allowed only if the absence is excused. Students can be excused for the following reasons only:
1) Illness 2) Holiday 3) Studio Closure (Summer and Winter Break)
4) Parent had called in ahead of time
ALL MAKE UP CLASSES MUST BE MADE UP WITHIN 1 MONTH FROM WHEN THE ABSENCE OCCURRED. After the 1-month period, the class will become ineligible to make up.
For missed classes due to Winter or Summer Break, students may take make up classes at the start of each season to make up for the last month of the previous season. Any other regular absences throughout the season will become ineligible after one month (except for competitive dance team members- all absences must be made up).
Make up class may not be taken in the same class in which the absence occurred. Student must be actively enrolled in a class in order to take make up classes. Only excused and called in absence can be made up. Make up form is available at the front desk and must be turned in to instructor at the beginning of class.

Studio Capacity and Liability Policy
Students should not be left unattended without a parent/guardian present and must be dropped off/picked up in a timely manner. This also includes siblings and friends of students. We want to assure the safety of all our students and to respect the studio’s maximum capacity regulation for the lobby and dance rooms. The studio is not responsible for students who have been left unattended.
Membership Cancellation
We can only revoke this authorization by providing written notification via email or letter to Nova Dance Co. Notification for cancelation must be received 2 weeks prior to the following month. If a 2-week notice is not given, the client will be charged the following month’s tuition.
The student’s full account will be reviewed prior to dropping them from the system. If there is a balance due, it will be brought up to the parent and will have to be paid at the time of departure. Please note that a refund should not be expected and is not guaranteed when dropping your student from class.
